It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no, it’s popcorn!


Have you ever looked up at the clouds and seen faces or animals or other shapes?  You’re not alone.  Plenty of people do and there are names for this phenomenon. Pareidolia is a type of illusion or misperception involving a vague or obscure stimulus being perceived as something clear and distinct. Nephelococcygia is the act of finding shapes in clouds.

You might chalk it up to having too much time on your hands but there’s a simple pleasure in finding images in an unintended place.  We’ve found some interesting characters in our popcorn and thought we’d post pictures just for fun.  How about you?  Next time you pop up a bowl, look deep into your snack and see what pops up.
