2015 Winners

It was such a treat reviewing and judging the entries in our 6th annual Popcorn Pep Club Contest. Students and teachers across the country put tremendous creative effort into their entries making the competition tough. Congratulations to everyone who entered the contest for jobs well done! Prizes are awarded to the following:

Grand Prize--$2,500 

Burke High School

Burke High School was this year’s winner having created a miniature NYC Times Square and Santa’s Village almost entirely out of popcorn. From the lights of Broadway to the lights of Christmastown, no detail was missed in this magical winter wonderland. It’s an amazing feat and unlike any entry we’ve had before.

Second Place Prizes--$1,000 each (2 winners)

Ocean City High School FCS classes show popcorn spirit in a variety of ways including: creating and rating popcorn recipes, developing posters for Independent Living class, and developing a number of educational tools for math, art, and language arts classes.

2) Brockbank Junior High School

Brockbank Jr. High School placed a top prize because of their outstanding creative arts efforts. As Teacher Kevin McDaniel said, “We have too much popcorn spirit, and it can't be limited to just 150 words.
