After a kernel of popcorn has popped open, does it have a regular pattern or configuration or are each kernels different like snowflakes are different?

That's an interesting question, Kevin. There are similar ways popcorn spills out of the hull after it has burst open, but not a specific pattern. So popcorn is more like snowflakes in that they are different.
